Sports Massage And Remedial Massage
Massage is a natural therapy, which has been used since the origins of mankind and has remained the principal method of treating most musculoskeletal problems for years.
Minor injury is by far the most common musculoskeletal problem and these are becoming less adequately dealt with, although they can still be extremely painful and may seriously affect the person`s occupation, sport, or quality of life. If not treated properly early on these minor injuries can progress into a more serious condition in the long term.
Massage can treat such minor injuries quickly and effectively and therefore prevent a more serious problem, this is not only true in a sports context but also in term of posture and other forms of stress.

If you're ready to book an appointment click below otherwise, get in touch with us via email or you can call me on 01386 831989 or 07968 291421 to discuss your needs and what I can do to help before you book!
What To Expect
During your first visit the session begins with a full consultation, which consists of a full medical history, with a history of the injury/problem being evaluated and making sure there are no contraindications to the treatment, this is followed by a physical examination in order to assess for differences between both sides of the body and to check for tightness in specific muscles.
The treatment is then carried out using a range of massage techniques, joint mobilisations and stretching. The patient is then shown stretches and strengthening exercises to be carried out at home between treatments.
